Our unique partnership approach to ASIC design and development

The SWINDON partnership approach provides a complete integrated service from design concept through to production supply for analogue and mixed mode ASICs and integrated MEMS solutions.

The design team’s expertise is broad-based with an international reputation as specialist within the Mixed Mode, RF and high-speed design areas. Using the “fabless” business model, approved partner companies are used to fabricate the silicon and package the devices. By utilising a wide variety of partner foundries, the most advanced semiconductor processes can be selected for maximum performance at minimal cost.

Senior Test Engineer – Current Vacancy

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our established Test Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be time served or qualified in Electronic / Mechanical Engineering to a relevant level, with typically 7 years’ experience using automatic test equipment and programming, preferably in testing of analogue and digital integrated circuits.

Senior Systems / Applications Engineer – Current Vacancy

Driven by our continuing successful product developments in a number of growing market sectors, SWINDON are looking to recruit an experienced Systems / Applications Engineer.

As part of the design team, this role is to support all aspects of the product life-cycle of our integrated circuits (IC), from initial definition, through design and into volume production. It comprises a number of varied tasks requiring a diverse range of engineering skills.

Requirements:

Analogue design experience covering a range of different circuit blocks.
Digital design experience, preferably including familiarity with VHDL.
High and low level software. Experience of C/C++ and assembly language would be a significant advantage.
Knowledge of integrated circuit measurement methods for evaluation, verification, de-bug and investigation, in both laboratory and volume production environments.
The ability to be self-directing or work in a team as required.
Degree qualified in electrical engineering, electronics or physics.

Knowledge of IC manufacturing processes and automotive qualification procedures is an advantage.

Experienced IC Design Engineers – Current Vacancy

We are looking to recruit experienced IC Design Engineers to provide input on all technical aspects of the design process.

Our Design Engineers:

Work closely with customers to prepare quotations and agree project specifications.
Are responsible for the design of an ASIC from system down to device level.
Are involved in ASIC evaluation and production test development.
Provide application support for our products.
Provide technical assistance throughout the life of the product.

Successful candidates will normally have an appropriate degree at post graduate level, will have excellent communications skills and will be able to demonstrate a high level of innovation and creativity.

Proven experience of being a Technical Lead on a project is an advantage. However, if you are able to demonstrate the required skills to lead on a project in a technical capacity, then we are keen to hear from you.
